WGR's Tell Me Why
'Whylee'
CGC RN NA OF BCAT ACT2 ACT2J SWNE
"Whylee is my idea of the perfect Golden Retriever. He has incredible drive and work ethic, yet he naturally settles in the house and is happiest curled up next to me on the couch. That balance is something I treasure in him.
Agility is truly his passion. When he’s on course, he lights up; he’s fast, confident, and has the most beautiful, effortless jumping form. He gives everything he has every single run and loves the game as much as I do. Whylee is also wonderfully versatile. He competes in rally, scent work, fast cat and dock diving, and he absolutely loves the water. In 2024, we went to Golden Retriever Nationals where he competed in both agility and scent work. He wrapped up the weekend earning 6 new titles, including three 1st-place finishes, plus 3rd and 4th placements. I couldn’t have been prouder of him.
More than the ribbons and titles, Whylee is the sweetest, most affectionate boy. Everyone who meets him falls in love, and he happily soaks up all the attention. He is my cuddle buddy, my teammate, and my heart dog - the kind you only get once in a lifetime." -Owner Meghan Doyle
HRCH The Golden Goose of Floyd Ranch Field Goldens
'Goose'
Goose is a sweet, playful, and driven girl with a true work-hard/play-hard attitude. She is eager to please, naturally talented, and has an exceptional nose and strong marking instincts — proven by her 4/6 Derby JAMs. She swims like a fish, loves her field work, and approaches training with impressive maturity and consistency. In the house, Goose has a wonderful off-switch and is always ready to snuggle. She’s a true social butterfly who has never met a stranger and happily plays with any dog she meets.
Goose began field training in May 2023 and quickly proved herself in Derby before moving into Hunt Tests, earning her HR title with four straight passes and later her HRCH. She has already earned three MH passes and will finish her MH following her planned Spring 2026 litter. Our long-term goals for her include GRHRCH, MNH, and a competitive field trial career — and we fully expect her to rise to the occasion.
